الدرس 4:الفقرة الوصفية (وصف شخص)

✷فقرة الوصف (descriptive
paragraph) هي فقرة نصف فيها شخصًا
(person) أو مكانًا (place) أو شعورًا (feeling) أو موقفًا (situation) أو حدثًا(event)، يتميز أسلوب الوصف باستخدام الصفات (adjectives) لنرسم صورة في
ذهن القارئ عما نصفه؛ في هذا الدرس سنركز على كتابة فقرة تتسم بالإتساق و الإنسجام بين الأفكار باستعمال مختلف النعوت (adjectives) لوصف شخص.
✷ يعتبر وصف شخص خطوة سهلة و ممتعة لبدء ممارسة عملية الكتابة الوصفية، في هذا الدرس سنركز على:
◂معلومات عامة عن الشخص (general information about
the person)
◂المظهر الخارجي للشخص (the physical appearance of the person)
◂قدرات الشخص و مواهبه (the abilities and talents of the person)
◂ما يقول الناس عن ذلك الشخص (what people say about the
person)
معلومات عامة حول الشخص (general information about the person)
✷نبدأ فقرتنا بكتابة إسم الشخص (name)، علاقتك به (relationship)، ربما مهنته (job) وعمره (age) كما في المثال التالي:
Emma is my best friend, She is a student in my school, she is
seventeen years old.
المظهر الخارجي للشخص (the physical appearance of the person)
❍العمر (age):
✓ طفل (baby)
✓ شاب، صغير (young)
✓ متوسط العمر (middle-aged)
✓ عجوز (elderly, old)
✓ مراهق (teenager)
✓ راشد (adult)
👉 Salim is 18 years old. He is a teenager boy.
👉 Leila is 45 years old. She is a middle-aged woman.
❍طول القامة (height):
✓ طويل (tall)
✓ متوسط القامة (of medium height)
✓ قصير (short)
👉 That woman is very tall.
👉 He is short.
❍بنية الجسد (build):
✓ قوي(strong)
✓ نحيف (thin, skinny, slim)
✓ سمين (fat, overweight)
✓ ضعيف (weak, frail)
👉 She is very skinny.
👉 That boxer is strong.

✓ أصلع(bald)
✓ ناعم (straight)
✓ متموج (curly)
✓ مجعد (frizzy)

👉 Howard is bald, but he has got a short grey beard.
👉 Kelly has got short blond straight hair.
❍الوجه (face):
✓ دائري(round)
✓ بيضوي (oval)
✓ متجعد (wrinkled)
✓ أسمر (tanned)
✓ أبيض (fair)
✓ جميلة (beautiful)
✓ وسيم (handsome)
✓ بشع (ugly)
✓ فاتن (cute)
👉 Anna has got a fairoval face.
👉 My grandmother has got a wrinkled face because she is old now.
❍العينين (eyes):
✓ كبيرة (big)
✓ صغيرة (small)
✓ خضراء (green)
✓ سوداء (black)
✓ ضيقة (narrow)
✓ مستديرة (round)
👉 I have got round black eyes.
👉 Most Scandinavian people have got blue eyes.
❍الملابس (clothes):
✓ غير رسمي (casual)
✓ بال، مهترئ (shabby)
✓ أنيق (elegant, smart)
✓ قصير (short)
✓ ضيق (tight)
✓ طويل (long)
👉 John always wears elegant clothes.
👉 That man wears shabby clothes, he must be homeless.
قدرات الشخص و مواهبه (the talents and abilities of the person)
✷في هذا الجزء من الفقرة سنتحدث عن الأشياء التي يتقنها الشخص الذي نصفه، مثلا يمكننا أن نقول أنه "جيد في العلوم" أو "عبقري في المعلوميات" أو "موهوب في لعب كرة المضرب" إلى غير ذلك.
👉 Lana is excellent in sciences.
👉 That woman is genius in informatics.
👉 She is talented in playing tennis.

ماذا يقول الناس عن الشخص (what people say about the person)
✷في هذا الجزء من الفقرة سنتحدث عن ما يقوله الناس عن ذلك الشخص. مثلا
"الناس يقولون أن إيما إنسانة طيبة القلب و كريمة" أو "الأساتذة يقولون أن إيما طالبة
مجدة وذكية" أو " أصدقاء إيما يقولون أنها إنسانة إجتماعية لأنها تمتلك العديد من
الأصدقاء"
👉 People say thatEmma is akind and generousperson.
👉 Teachers say Emma is a hardworking and smart student.
👉 Emma's friends say that she is a social person because she has
✷ لوصف شخص ما نحتاج كذلك لثلاثة أفعال أساسية في الوصف:
1. فعل الكون [verb to be] لكي نقول مثلا [The lady is very sociable] أي [السيدة إجتماعية جدا]
2. فعل الملكية [have (got)] لكي نقول مثلا [She has (got) back hair] أي [لها شعر أسود]
3. فعل اللباس [wear] و تعني [ترتدي] لكي نقول مثلا [She wears tidy clothes]أي[ترتدي ملابس منظمة]
Structure of a Descriptive Paragraph
🔸Topic Sentence
It’s the 1st sentence in your paragraph where you directly say who you
are going to talk about: name, relationship, job, age.
🔹Supporting Sentences
Talking about her/his physical appearance.
Talking about her/his talents and abilities.
Talking about what people say about her/him, you may also add what is
special about that person.
🔸Concluding Sentence
It is the last sentence in your paragraph where you rephrase what you
said in your topic sentence.
Example of a Descriptive Paragraph
(Topic Sentence) Emma
is my best friend, she is a student in my school, she is a teenager girl. (Supporting
Sentences: Physical Appearance) She is tall and
slim. She has got long black straight hair. She has got a fair oval pretty
face. Emma has got big beautiful brown eyes. She always wears elegant clothes
because she loves to try new styles. (Supporting Sentences: Abilities
and Talents)Emma is excellent in languages because she can speak three
languages. Besides, she is talented in ballet because she won the 1st
place in the national championship competition last year. (Supporting
Sentences: What people say) People say that Emma is an intelligent girl
because she gets the best marks at school. Her teachers agree that she has the
characteristics of a genius. Emma is sociable because she has many
friends. Furthermore, she is ambitious because she wants to be a doctor in the
future. (Concluding Sentence) To sum up, Emma is one of the
people I admire most.
